What You’ll Take Ownership Of:
- Bring our brand to life by writing, editing, and publishing engaging articles, buying guides, and promotional copy.
- Help our customers make informed decisions by drafting and optimizing clear, helpful product descriptions.
- Play detective by navigating vendor asset libraries to source accurate product specifications and high-quality imagery.
- Write compelling copy that consistently reflects the Acme Tools brand voice and accurately represents our associated brands.
- Learn how to track, analyze, and report on blog performance, including organic traffic, user engagement, and keyword rankings.
- Develop the skills to read and understand daily website data, turning analytics into actionable insights to improve future writing.
- Identify search trends and target keywords to help your articles rank higher on Google and reach a wider audience.
- Apply fundamental SEO best practices to all your written materials before hitting "publish."
- Work alongside a welcoming marketing team to align your writing with Acme Tools' broader eCommerce strategies.
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to pitch fresh content ideas, review what is working, and map out the editorial calendar.
- Partner with other departments to support exciting, large-scale promo events and time-sensitive marketing campaigns.
- Serve as a reliable, communicative point of contact for content updates and copy approvals.
- Protect our brand's trustworthiness by verifying that all guidelines, safety warnings, and product claims are factual and accurate.
- Ensure all content aligns with our established brand guidelines and formatting policies.
- Stay curious and informed about digital marketing trends, SEO updates, and the tool industry to keep our content competitive.
Need-To-Haves:
- A strong foundation in writing, editing, and proofreading school projects, personal blogs, or professional writing samples.
- A genuine eagerness to learn.
- Attention to detail, ensuring your writing is both grammatically correct and factually accurate.
- A team-player mindset with strong communication skills and an openness to constructive feedback.
Love-To-Haves:
- Current enrollment in, or recent graduation from, a degree program.
- Basic design knowledge using Adobe products, Photoshop, and/or Figma.
- Familiarity with writing for the web, such as blogging, social media, or product pages.
- A foundational understanding of what SEO is and how it works.
- A personal interest in DIY projects, tools, or the construction industry.
