You’ll take ownership of:
- Various warehouse tasks to support all sales distribution points
- Unloading freight from trucks & trailers using manual & motorized equipment
- Comparing good received & packing slips for order accuracy, inspecting for any damage & notifying your supervisor of any discrepancies
- Scanning or entering product into the inventory control system or related computer program
- Maintaining consistent & adequate stock of product on the sales floor & warehouse shelves in a neat & orderly condition
- Using manual or motorized equipment to transport inventory between the warehouse & store locations
- Participating in scheduled inventory events (physical inventory counts, etc.)
- Preparing shipments for customers or other Acme Tools locations
- Accurately picking items from customers orders, shipping orders or requisitions, preparing shipments & loading product onto trucks, trailers, or customer vehicles
- Occasionally driving a company vehicle to transport items from warehouse to customer or to pick up items from various locations
- Maintaining a clean & organized warehouse to ensure accessibility & safety
- Helping with property maintenance (lawn care, snow removal, etc.)
- Maintaining a safe & secure work environment by adhering to & striving to improve safety standards & reporting any suspicious activity
- Completing related tasks as assigned
You’ll need to have:
- Strong computer skills & ability to learn new software
- Willingness & ability to work on powered equipment (forklift, etc.
We’d love if you have:
- Previous forklift experience
- Customer service skills
Physical Requirements of the Job:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 10 hours
- Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend & reach
- Ability to continuously climb & descend stairs safely
