Summary:

The Philanthropy Specialist plays an integral role in the success of Altru Health Foundation's annual strategic fundraising plan with focus areas of mid-level giving, grant-writing and procurement, and/or special fundraising event planning and implementation. This position contributes to enhancing a culture of philanthropy by bridging positive relationships throughout Altru and building philanthropic partnerships in the broader community.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists with the development and implementation of the annual strategic fundraising plan, including mid-level donors, grants, and special events.

  • Mid-level: Identifies, cultivates, and stewards relationships with internal and external donors, providing individualized opportunities for investment based on donor interest and passion.

  • Grants: Identifies and applies for grant opportunities. Tracks funding decisions, time frames, accountabilities, and progress in accordance with grant guidelines.

  • Special Events: Leads planning, organizing, implementing, and reporting of all Foundation events. Assists in system fundraising events as needed.

  • Maintains an up-to-date donor database by tracking communications, ensuring accurate inputs, and generating statistical reports.

  • Contributes to the system-wide culture of philanthropy and positively represents the Foundation through community involvement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Certification:

  • Driver's License with Acceptable Driving Record | Drivers License - Current State Licensed | Prior to Start Date | HR Primary Sources

Education:

• Required: Bachelors - Related Field
