Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator I contributes to the accomplishment of the Human Resources strategies and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture. This position serves customers with respect and courtesy, while providing individualized service in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner and providing referrals for other appropriate subject matter experts and resources. The Human Resource Coordinator I supports all Human Resources areas and ensures compliance with policy and procedures.

Pay scales are based on years of relevant work experience:
- HR Coordinator I: 17.07 - 25.60 USD Hourly
- HR Coordinator II: 18.82 - 28.23 USD Hourly
- HR Coordinator III: 20.75 - 31.12 USD Hourly
- HR Coordinator IV: 22.87 - 34.31 USD Hourly

Work location: This position is primarily remote but will be onsite once per week and as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides customer support for a variety of Human Resources functions for the HR Service Center call tree, case management system, email and in person as needed. Reviews personal and employment changes.

  • Manages incoming inquiries and requests in Workday Help or common email inboxes. Assesses the level of complexity of cases and assigns as appropriate to provide resolution or escalation to the subject matter experts. Ensures service level agreements are met.

  • Identifies opportunities to address common inquiries with new functionality or improved article or intranet content. Proactively provides input and feedback on process improvement for all areas of the HR Service Center scope.

  • Collaborates with Human Resources team members to ensure proper procedures are created, maintained, and followed for all employment, job, pay, benefit, leave of absence, etc. transactions.

  • Serves as a resource to support special projects that may include area of specialty such as benefits, leave administration, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, payroll and/or compliance.

  • Responds to requests for employee data. Processes employment and child support verifications. Maintains employee’s electronic records. Handles sensitive company and personal information with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Provides support to new and existing employees and assists with retirement and benefit enrollment, and life event processes. Reviews and validates benefit information for life events and new dependents and assists with annual employee Open Enrollment. Completes retirement distribution and rollover requests.

  • Applies knowledge of practices and procedures gained through training and performs structured work assignments.

  • No previous experience or knowledge.

  • Solves straight forward problems and relies upon guidance and training from leader and more experienced colleagues.

  • Works under supervision and receives instructions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
