Tuesday- Saturday 9:00AM- 6:00PM
Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, and Sat 8:3-AM-5:30PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION STATEMENTS: – Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge: General knowledge of transit vehicles and their operation and maintenance; use of two-way radios, mobility device lifts, ramps and securement; principles and practices of customer service and de-escalation; City geography; basic mathematical principles; adhere to Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations; responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act; responsibilities under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Skills: Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities; maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions and demonstrating intellectual capabilities; maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties.
Abilities: Work independently in the absence of supervision; learn and follow city traffic laws, rules and safe vehicle operating procedures; learn and follow Federal transit regulations; general knowledge of city geography and the location of various businesses and agencies; work within the constraints of a time schedule; prepare clear and concise reports; use independent judgment and foresight when assessing road conditions in poor weather; give and follow directions with precision; respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive public inquiries and complaints.
Experience and Training Guidelines:
Experience:
1 year experience in passenger transportation, human services, or related field
Training:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade
License or Certifications:
Possession of a valid driver’s license
