Terms of Employment:

Full-Time, Temporary through June 30, 2026

Non-benefitted

Education:

1. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency plus clerical/secretarial training equivalent to one (1) to three (3) years.

Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of office technology (multi-line telephone system, copy machine, etc.).

2. Proficient in software programs including Microsoft Office and Google Applications.

3. Ability to effectively relate to and work with a variety of people and respond appropriately when under pressure.

4. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

5. Demonstrated customer service skills.

Job Goal:

1. Promotes a positive image of the school district by responding to inquiries from the parents/guardians, employees, the public, etc. by providing requested information and/or referral to other parties.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Mark Sanford Education Center (MSEC) Front Desk

a. Answers multiline telecommunication system for the purpose of taking and transferring calls and responding to inquiries.

b. Greets visitors, responds to their inquiries, and/or directs them to appropriate personnel.

c. Distributes mail in office mailboxes.

d. Point of contact for scheduling/posting meeting rooms at MSEC.

e. Maintain a tidy reception area

2. Business Office

a. Prepares and scans documents for the Business Office

b. Provide general administrative and clerical support as assigned including preparing letters, documents and reports, scheduling meeting rooms, and organizing catering for meetings.

3. Performs other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand and occasionally walk. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.

Occasionally may need to lift up to fifty (50); reaching, standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be exposed to infection at a greater risk than the average person.
