Northrop Grumman’s Global Mobility Office (GMO) is seeking a Global Mobility Tax and Cost Estimating Analyst. This role is responsible for assisting with the full range of global mobility cost estimating and strategic tax planning as it relates to cross-border movement including expatriate tax compliance and the development of cost estimates for domestic and international work assignments.
The GMO works in conjunction with sectors, programs, and key functional areas to ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements and mitigate the risk of conducting business worldwide. This position will report into the Manager, Global Mobility Expatriate Tax and Cost Estimating.
This position will be virtual remote and can be performed anywhere within the continental United States. Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
The Global Mobility Tax and Cost Estimating Analyst will build partnerships across a diverse set of stakeholders and is expected to have a high degree of collaboration and communication skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of expatriate tax compliance and federal pricing acumen. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist with administration of Northrop Grumman’s tax equalization policies and procedures for international work assignments
Work closely with tax professional service partners to provide expatriate tax compliance, consulting, and planning
Develop and deliver tax briefings for global assignees and training presentations for programs, as needed
Cultivate strong relationships with global assignees, business unit Program Managers, HR Business Partners, and others supporting international programs to facilitate understanding of global tax compliance
Collaborate with Payroll and Accounting on appropriate coordination of tax reconciliations including hypothetical tax deductions, employee tax payments, and year-end tax settlements
Stay abreast of pending legislative tax and social security changes in locations with existing global assignees and other locations targeted by Northrop Grumman for business development
Collaborate with the larger GMO team and other internal stakeholders to apply country-specific knowledge concerning immigration, host country labor law, and tax requirements to cost estimating deliverables
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
Prior experience working with international assignee populations of multi-national organizations
Technical understanding of global mobility including the impact of employment structure, taxation, and immigration
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office applications with a strong focus on Excel and data presentation, PowerPoint for developing effective presentations, and Word for creating proposal package guidance, policies, and procedures
Strong aptitude for balancing multiple tasks simultaneously
Adept at independent research and problem solving
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with global mobility and international assignments working in a fast-paced organization meeting high-visibility, high performance expectations, preferably at a Big 4 firm
Demonstrated knowledge of individual US income taxes, foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance and the tax equalization process
Working knowledge of the proposals process, pricing, and financial management of operational programs
Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other contractual regulations relating to proposal pricing
Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following disciplines (or combination thereof): Accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics, Pricing, or Consulting focused on providing business strategies
