The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems support team at one of our Georgia locations.
Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.
Note: This position requires a minimum of 50% travel equating to approximately 180 days per year. Travel will be both CONUS and OCONUS. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to meet these requirements.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Supporting establishment of the Windows Server security infrastructure design, implementation, and migration planning and fielding.
Supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019 platform and functions
Managing the Microsoft Endpoint Manager system (SCCM/ MECM platform) to support customer requests for agent installation and tuning monitors and rules.
Participating in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.
Exhibiting excellent communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.
Performing as a Windows System Administrator for a classified government contract.
Maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
Supporting multiple networks.
Ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed, directing others as necessary.
Recommending and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Creating and maintaining computer user and accounts and modifying file permissions and security access lists.
Testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Developing and documenting technical processes and procedures as needed.
Adhering to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.
Maintaining security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
Preparing security documentation for input to Computer Security.
Reporting project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
Working under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevantexperience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevantexperience; OR a High School diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must have a DOD 8140 security certification (examples: Security+ CE or greater)
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance in order to be considered
Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
Willing to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days away from primary work location (both CONUS and OCONUS) and comply with mobility requirements
Must have and maintain a U.S. Passport
Meet customer medical requirements for worldwide travel.
Must have work experience with designing and maintaining LAN/WAN based networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, and experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Network Engineering
Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have
Network+ certification and/or a Cisco CCNA (or a CCNA)
Advance level of experience and familiarity of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and associated products (MS SCCM, SCSM, MECM, etc.).
A strong understanding of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, its operational procedures and service delivery activities.
Experience with scripting with PowerShell and automating various IT processes.
Strong experience with Active Directory.
Strong experience with Group policy design, testing and implementation
Strong ability to work both independently and as a part of a team

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
