Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for a Senior Principal Information Systems Project Manager to support the Digital Value Chain Optimization (DVCO) organization as a Organizational Change and Project Management Lead. DVCO will execute a multi‑year transformation of digital‑based improvement projects across the sector, modernizing how we design, build, and sustain mission‑critical systems.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:

This role will serve as the primary change management authority for the DVCO program. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will partner with Mission Systems Talent & Org Effectiveness (Prosci‑aligned) to embed structured change practices across every project wave.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deployment / Change Management Project Management – Lead planning, coordination, and execution of deployment and change management activities, to include resource planning for human resources needed for execution (communications, learning/development, vendors, etc.); must be able to balance both the high-level strategic plan and the detailed execution to enable people-centric ROI of the project from start to finish.

  • Define & Execute Change Strategy – In partnership with MS Organization Effectiveness & Talent, build the end‑to‑end change roadmap for DVCO (ADKAR‑based), aligning with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

  • Strategic Planning & Road Mapping - Consolidate individual project change road maps into a single, phased program roadmap that highlights inter dependencies, key milestones, and critical go live dates.

  • Stakeholder Analysis – Lead project teams to identify impacted and interested stakeholders; maintain a master stakeholder register with impact scores, key analyses of impact of processes, roles, etc. and engagement strategies including resistance strategies.

  • Integrated Communication Management – In partnership with Communication SMEs, develop a cohesive communications strategy and communications plan, overseeing the creation of multi-channel deliverables.

  • Training & Enablement Architecture – Define the training model to scale across projects in partnership with Learning/Development/Talent SMEs; develop training roadmap and plans; ensure development of near-term training deliverables and actions according to the strategy while working with functions on long-term strategy of training & PrOP into day-to-day operations.

  • Leadership Management – In partnership with DVCO leaders, develop sponsorship and stakeholder strategies to ensure leadership engagement and buy-in throughout the initiative; create middle and frontline leadership strategies as part of larger change management plans, and ensure timely execution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • 3+ years of project management experience.

  • 3+ years of change management experience.

  • Must possess superior organization and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors.

  • Prosci Change Management certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire date; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification.

  • Current Prosci Change Management certification.

  • Technical change‑management experience embedded within Agile/SAFe software development lifecycles.

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
