Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Site Liaison Engineering Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Georgia, USA. This role will be full-time, on-site on location.
In this role, you will serve as the primary technical interface between field operations, cross-functional engineering teams, and customer points of contact. You will apply systems thinking to resolve complex field issues, coordinate and shepherd configuration changes through the approved process, and drive on-site execution to meet schedule, technical, and safety requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities will include:
Serve as the on-site technical liaison between operations, engineering IPTs, and customers to resolve field issues, escalations, and installations.
Lead intake, technical review, and submission of Configuration Change Board packages; ensure completeness, risk assessment, and implementation guidance.
Manage and prioritize cross-functional action items and CRs; concurrently support dozens of change requests while tracking status and performance metrics.
Provide technical oversight and mentorship to Responsible Engineers (REs) during modification design, verification, and implementation.
Deliver technical briefings and status updates to customers, program leadership, and stakeholders.
Coordinate staffing, schedule, and resource requirements for statements of work; approve modification implementation and closure.
Produce and review technical publications and change documentation; champion cultural adoption of the change-implementation process.
Support troubleshooting and resolution of data center, network, and communication system issues in field environments.
You will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required.
Strong written and verbal communication and technical briefing skills will be necessary for success in this role
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field and 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM field and 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD in a STEM field and 8 years of relevant military / professional experience.
Must have experience supporting avionics, data centers, or communication systems in field or depot environments.
Must have experience managing configuration and change processes (CCB) and coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.
Must have experience leading cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent engineering actions.
Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Active US Government Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the last 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Experience with JIRA, Agile practices, configuration/data management, and IFC management.
Military experience or prior field/depot engineering support in defense/aviation.
Experience presenting to technical review boards and leading software/technical reviews.
