Schedule: Rotating A/B Schedule: (3) days one week and (4) days the next, 12 hour shift, 7:00am to 7:30pm
Work Location: 1801 N 36th St, Grand Forks, ND

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $26.70 per hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Reviews production / packaging schedule and task list daily and maintains packaging operations to meet scheduling requirements and review schedule with team.
2. Executes direction from Packaging Manager as defined in Daily Assignment Log and verbal instruction. Ensure packers work in a safe and organized manner and report unsafe conditions when observed.
3. Communicates any issues effecting packaging quality / efficiency in a timely manner.
4. Monitors and ensure proper operation of packaging lines by working with shift mechanic and Manager. Communicate equipment deficiencies to the Packaging Manager.
5. Oversees and assists with packaging changeovers as needed. Ensures the tools and equipment are available for each line daily.
6. Audits packaging paperwork on a regular basis through direct involvement.
7. Keeps packaging lines stocked with needed supplies. Report any low inventory levels as observed.
8. Directs quality assurance functions on shift, related to the disposition of product in packaging (i.e. when to start packaging, placing material on hold, calling for Q/A support, etc.).
9. Assigns product repacks of product on shift to packers.
10. Coordinates breaks and lunches for the crew, ensuring 1 person at a time is on break/lunch.
11. Monitors screens for effectiveness, makes and documents appropriate changes when necessary.
Education and/or Experience
One year experience working on a production line in a manufacturing facility, preferably a pasta plant. Ability to supervise, direct and organize multiple employees at any given time. Prior experience in supervision and public speaking and/or training. High School Diploma or GED required.Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for direction and coordination of the packaging employees on designated shift. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, assigning and directing work and covering for breaks. Ability to coordinate the assignments of employees on a 12-hour shift.
Language Skills
Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English. Ability to respond to common inquiries. Ability to speak in front of a group of people.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Required to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear, use hands to handle or feel, push / pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with hands and arms 2/3’s of the time.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is loud. Have the ability to perform all above tasks in an environment of 90 degrees F or greater up to 80% of the shift or greater than 100 degrees F for 30 minute intervals. Also have the ability to perform the above tasks in an environment with 35% Relative Humidity.
Safety Responsibilities
Be able to work and perform tasks in a confined space as needed. Be able to wear appropriate hearing protection for the whole shift. Be able to perform lockout / tag out procedures on equipment once trained. To be able to work safely in and around equipment at all times.
