Position Summary:
The Shipping & Billing Specialist supports the Operations and Accounting Departments at PS Industries by arranging for timely shipment and ensuring proper billing of customer orders upon product completion.
Core Roles:
- Receive and ensure accuracy of customer orders
- Arrange and quote freight for customers
- Generate sales acknowledgments and invoices
- Process credit card payments
Essential Job Functions:
- Generate and coordinate all documents required for product shipments (domestic and international)
- Coordinate timing and method of shipment between customer and freight companies
- E-mail invoices to customers
- Receive and process credit card payments as necessary
- E-Filing; electronically scan all documents in job folder and place scanned documents into the corresponding electronic job folder
- Work with Design/Product Leaders to verify Bill of Material is correct and close out Work Order to WIP
- Generate accurate job costing reports using ERP software
- Work with the Design/Product Leaders on entering all material requirements into ERP software
- Assist operation support personnel as needed
- Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to telephone
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent/relevant work experience
- 2 years of experience performing order entry, shipping, billing, or other accounting functions
- Intermediate to advanced skill level using Microsoft Office.
- Experience using accounting software applications.
- Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and work accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience performing order entry, shipping, billing or other accounting functions.
