Position Summary:

Build, maintain, and grow relationships with end users, contractors, and architectural and engineering firms through personal visits, phone calls, and other communication channels. This role focuses on driving sales, supporting customers, and representing the company in a professional and knowledgeable way.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review and interpret specifications to determine proper product selection
  • Gather all information needed for quotes, drawings, installations, and invoicing
  • Prepare for and participate in tradeshows
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Troubleshoot issues related to credit, delivery, or other business items
  • Follow up with clients to confirm satisfaction
  • Review and negotiate customer terms in the company’s best interest
  • Support customers with delivery or installation concerns
  • Schedule and conduct onsite customer visits
  • Work extended or adjusted hours as needed
  • Travel during the week and occasionally on weekends
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience, ideally with a background selling to general contractors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, management, or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior working experience with architects and engineers
  • General proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry, including reading blueprints and interpreting specifications
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales experience in the flood-protection industry
  • Engineering degree
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
