Production Lead
Day Shift
6 AM to 4:30 PM
Position Summary
Will assist in training new employees within the department. Responsible for leading and mentoring team leads. Responsible
to coordinate the day-to-day production needs and scheduling. Will communicate any employee or production issues to the
department supervisor in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing and assigning daily duties according to production schedules to all department staff.
- Will monitor inventory levels and immediately notify department supervisor of any shortages that could slow
production. - Trains, audits, and holds team accountable to standard work and training guides, responds quickly to quality problems,
and complies with acceptance criteria. - Promotes safety, quality, continuous improvement, and LEAN practices.
- Ensures equipment is always in safe operating condition and performs preventative maintenance as scheduled.
- Acts as Production Supervisor in their absence.
- May assist in hiring process.
- Continually mentors and leads fellow employees.
- Responsible for performing and ensuring quality inspections are being done in accordance to the Steffes Quality
Management System. - Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers,
co-workers, and management. - Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements/Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of prior work experience in related field
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
- Familiarity with HVLP and/or electrostatic guns, pressure pots, and proportioners is a plus.
- Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills

- An acceptable combination of education and experience
Functional & Cognitive Requirements of Position
- This position requires walking and standing to a significant degree.
- This position requires working in tight spaces with areas less than 30” possible.
- Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
- Certain products may require laying on the floor in order to paint correctly.
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
- Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for most activities.
- Visual acuity is required to inspect work before and after completion.
- This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
- Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the
context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or
productivity quota.
