Salary/Position Classification
- $16.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)
- Raises available twice a year, based on Fall Orientation attendance, number of workshops completed, and hours worked during the year
- Hours per week: As a stagehand, you WILL NOT work every day or even weekly- Hours are only available when we have shows/events scheduled.

Purpose of Position
Stagehand work at the Chester Fritz consists of the unloading and set-up of equipment for live shows/events, tear-down after shows, and the reloading of trucks, also assist in the setup of the stage for smaller events at the Fritz.

What You’ll Do:
- Help load and unload trucks with show gear
- Assist with the setup and tearing down stage equipment
- Work with lights, sound, scenery, props, and other stage elements
- Support production teams with backstage tasks during events
Required Competencies
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- RELIABLE and on time
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to ask questions and learn
- Able to follow directions and stay focused
- Comfortable working nights and weekends as needed
- No experience necessary! If you can follow directions and work as part of a team, you can do this job.
Preferred Qualifications
- Patience- there maybe periods of time you'll be waiting for others to finish their job before you can complete yours
- Ability to work well with others
- Must be available and willing to work some nights and weekends
- Willingness to learn new things
