Salary/Position Classification
- $19-$20 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- Hours will vary but will not exceed 19/week. hours per week
- 100% Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
This research position will support investigators in various research-related activities, providing essential assistance in meeting a grant's objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with participant recruitment, community outreach, and preparation of recruitment materials
- Support participant orientation sessions
- Coordinate and support data collection activities, including interviews and focus groups
- Support qualitative data analysis
- Assist with photo exhibition preparation and coordination
- Maintain organized research documentation
- Travel to community sites for data collection and photo exhibitions- primarily during summer 2026, with possible continuation into early fall depending on recruitment progress
- Assist with literature reviews, reference management, and manuscript/presentation preparation
- Attend meetings with PI and other colleagues, as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organizational skills to assist with research activities in a timely manner
- Creativity in thinking and initiative
- Ability to interact well with diverse populations, including faculty and staff
- Cultural humility and commitment to community-engaged research
- Flexibility to accommodate variable scheduling based on participant availability
- Enrollment in a bachelor's program in social work, psychology, public health or related field
- Ability to travel to research site with an occasional overnight stay
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public health or related field with enrollment in a UND graduate program beginning 2026 fall semester
- Experience with qualitative research methods
- Experience volunteering for, living in, or working with American Indian communities
