Salary/Position Classification
$51,000+ Dependent on Experience for a 9-month academic contract. An additional separate summer contract may be available.
40 hours per week
This position will work on campus, in person at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND

Purpose of Position
The College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) comprises the departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work.
The mission of the CNPD is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
The mission of the department of Nutrition & Dietetics is to provide exceptional, culturally aware and collaborative education, experiences and scholarship that advance well-being through nutrition for all.
We are seeking a full-time faculty member to teach and perform service in our Nutrition & Dietetics department. This position is located on UND's campus in the Northern Plains Center for Behavioral Health building.
Faculty members work closely with the program directors and department chair to offer student-centered instruction for assigned courses. These responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) teaching, advising, service, course development and student learning assessment. All faculty members are expected to maintain current and accurate knowledge in the assigned teaching areas as well as perform in an ethical and professional manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
Teach and manage assigned course(s) including planning, organizing and teaching in ways to maximize student learning
Develop new assignments or implement new teaching strategies to keep curriculum relevant and progressive
Inform and administer assessment instruments, collect and report student learning outcomes data
Student advisement
Hold regularly scheduled office hours
Learn and use technology to enhance the educational experience when appropriate
Involvement in service activities

Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in human nutrition or closely related field (at least 18 graduate credits in human nutrition)
RDN
RDN license eligible in North Dakota
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
2 years of professional experience in human nutrition/dietetics field
Prior teaching experience in higher ed
