Grassland Ecology Field Research Technician

Salary/Position Classification
- 18.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- up to 40 (summer) hours per week
- 100% Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
To Assist with regional and nationwide plant and soil inventory projects
Duties & Responsibilities
- Travel with a field crew to field sites and natural areas across the Great Plains and Pacific Northwest to conduct plant surveys and collect soil samples. In-lab processing of soil and plant samples Work with private landowners/producers
Required Competencies
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to travel during summer for up to 2 weeks at a time
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
