Salary/Position Classification

  • $18.00 hourly, Exempt
  • >20 hours per week

Purpose of Position

To Assist with regional and nationwide plant and soil inventory projects

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Travel with a field crew to field sites and natural areas across the Great Plains and Pacific Northwest to conduct plant surveys and collect soil samples.
  • In-lab processing of soil and plant samples.
  • Working with private landowners/producers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Interest in any aspect of biological, ecological, environmental, physical, chemical, computer, or similar science field to be described in the cover letter
  • Ability to travel overnight during summer
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

  • An interest in pursuing career paths related to biological, environmental, or ecological sciences helpful.
