The mission of UND's College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
The CNPD is comprised of three departments: Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work.
The department of Social Work is seeking a full-time (9-month) tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank. This individual will contribute to a productive and collegial academic team and will develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with students. The faculty member will have a principal assignment to the MSW program and will teach in the generalist curriculum and advanced generalist specialization. Teaching assignments may also include other areas of the MSW program and/or the BSSW program depending on enrollment and the needs of the department.
The department is seeking an individual with teaching and/or practice experience in social policy and/or macro practice (practice with communities and organizations). Scholarship/research related activities will be determined by the individual's research agenda, which will be developed in consultation with the department chair and associate dean.
This position is for a full-time (9 month) contract and requires an in-person, on-campus presence. A separate summer (3 month) contract may also be available depending on the needs of the department.
