The UND College of Arts & Sciences seeks a qualified graduate student to assist with archival and library research related to the historical development of the College’s administrative and physical structures. The successful candidate will support efforts to identify, review, organize, and summarize historical materials from library collections, special collections, institutional records, and other relevant sources.
This position is well suited for a graduate student with strong research and writing skills, an interest in archival or historical research, and the ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Conduct archival, library, and historical research using UND resources and related collections.
Locate, evaluate, and summarize primary and secondary source materials relevant to the history of the College of Arts & Sciences.
Prepare accurate research notes, citations, summaries, and supporting documentation.
Organize research findings in a clear and accessible format.
Assist with the development of timelines, historical narratives, thematic summaries, maps, and related materials.
Maintain confidentiality and follow proper procedures for handling archival and historical documents.
Communicate regularly with the supervisor regarding progress, findings, and questions.
