Purpose of Position

To have an experienced dissector prepare necessary anatomical prosecutions for classroom educational use.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out necessary dissections
  • Plan and prep for necessary dissections
  • Clean up after dissections and responsibly care for donors and tools

Required Competencies

• Dissection experience and skills
• Communication skills
• Ability to flip donor with minor assistance
• Follow safety rules and promote safe behavior
• Report incidents and near misses to supervisor or Office of Safety within 24 hours

Minimum Requirements

  • Active experience in dissection of human donors
  • Successful completion of at least five units of UND SMHS year one/Phase 1 medical education or a UND SMHS health sciences program equivalent
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

• Past coursework in human anatomy
• Able to have flexible schedule
• Current student at SMHS
