Salary/Position Classification

  • $15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 10-20 hours per week

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Team members work in the kitchen preparing food, at the front counter helping customers through the ordering process, and cleaning and washing dishes for all concepts
  • Prepare and cook to order pizza, burgers, sandwiches and a variety of other foods that require preparation in a timely manner
  • Take orders from customers and serve customers at the counters or tables and ensure accuracy of order
  • Provides exceptional customer service to our customers
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas to promote a clean image
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment
  • Verify food meets quality and quantity expectations
  • Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions and preparation and cooking of food accordingly
  • Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking
  • Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared
  • Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on several different orders simultaneously
  • Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up
  • Checks products and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift
  • Perform a number of different tasks every day and other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to stand for 3–4 hours
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle and prepare meat products in a commercial kitchen
  • Compliance with all food safety and sanitation requirements including taking out jewelry and wearing a hairnet
  • Must be available to work during day hours as well as nights & weekends
